This story is a nonfiction account of the short-lived town of Boston, Colorado (1886-1889). The Boston Town Company came to Colorado trying to catch the railroad and become the county seat of a new Colorado county, but a county seat fight and the inability to lure the railroad doomed the town and wild gun battle put the final nail in the town’s coffin. Boston was home to a wide range of personalities ranging from homesteaders, cowboys, and outlaws including the Jennings Gang. Through the voice of frontier newspaperman, Sam Konkel we have a first-person account of citizens and their attempt to live normal lives in the midst of one of the wildest towns on the 1880s frontier.
